Master of Science in Applied Toxicology

Graduates will be able to demonstrate skills in understanding  of (i) applied research methods used in all aspects of toxicology and the (ii) aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of common poisoning conditions in animals and man.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum admission requirements
A candidate shall be eligible for registration for the Masters of Science in Applied Toxicology if he/she has either,
(i)    Holders of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from Sokoine University of Agriculture or other recognized Universities with at least a credit in pharmacology or toxicology OR
(ii)    Holders of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recognized institution with at least a credit in pharmacology or toxicology OR
(iii)    Holders of Bachelor of Nursing from a recognized University with at least a credit in pharmacology or toxicology OR
(iv)    Candidates with a Pass degree will be considered for admission if they have satisfied the department/faculty that they have exhibited academic potential through extensive field work, subsequent research experience and/or additional training in Pharmacology or toxicology.
